More Dog Biscuits!
Well, I spent almost the whole day yesterday making dog biscuits! We ran out of homemade biscuits this last week, and needless to say the dogs really showed us that the store bought cookies really make them sick! I tried a new recipe this time, it's out of Mary Jane's Farm magazine from a few months back. I am in the process of e-mailing Mary Jane to make sure it's o.k. that I post the recipe here. But please check out her website and magazine, it is so cool! By the way, the dogs LOVE this recipe, and it ended up making about 7 dozen cookies for them! YEAH, Hopefully that will last for awhile!!!
I have been looking for my next crochet project. I have so many that I want to do I am still having problems deciding which one is next! I just ordered The crochet dudes new book, and also the happy hooker. They both have some awesome projects in them, and I can't wait to get the books. The crochet dude book I am especially excited about, I can't wait to make some fun things for the guys in my life, besides hats and scarfs that is! LOL.
We have been doing really well with the whole frugal thing. I am planning on starting a separate blog about our frugality ups and downs sometime soon. I will make sure to post it when I get there. We have A LOT of ups and downs, that's for sure, and a lot of "I wish I hadn't spent money on that" ah ha moments, so I'm sure the blog will be very entertaining! So until then stay "Cozi" at home this weekend!

My New Scarf!
I have been wanting to make this scarf for a long time, and of course I didn't make it long enough! But I love the colors! I used lamb's pride worsted weight in strawberry smoothie and a cream color that we carry, I can't remember off the top of my head what it was called. You can find the yarns here: A child's dream. I really love this yarn, I used the cream color for my octopus, and it turned out really nice.
So on to my next project. I'm still working on my travel bag that I want to take to the coast for spring break, I guess I really need to get that finished. I still have a ton of projects that I want to do, and sometimes I can't even make up my mind which one I want to do next!

South Park Watch Cap, Cartman
Well, I finally got Anthony's Cartman watch cap made for him yesterday. He had it on this morning while he was watching southpark episodes that he had recorded. I found this pattern on Raverly, you can find it by searching: Kreations's TV Land Hat: South Park Watch Caps. It's a free pattern, of course!
Now I'm on to making a couple of Bella Swan hats (from the movie twilight) for my two friends daughters.

Something for the kitties
This was suppose to be the speed hook shell from lion brand, but it wasn't turning out like I hoped, the yarn has been discontinued so I was using one that they said was comparable. So I when I got to a square I just gave it to the cats as a nice warm wool blanket for their bed. It's done in all single crochet with wool ease thick and quick, and pink tekapo held together. The cat's have been fighting over the bed more now that I put this cozy blanket in it! But I now have no shell to wear for valentines day! OH well!

My first Amigurumi!
Well, I finally bought the book tiny yarn animals at work the other day, and decided to start with something that looked fairly easy. So I started with this cute little Octopus! I used Lamb's Pride worsted in cream. It was very fun, and I now know why everyone is so hooked!!! He He He!!
My next project is going to be the Fox for the family name!
You can find tiny yarn animals at our store A child's dream come true and you can also find Tammie Snow's website at

Fancy Flower Crocheted Cloche Hat PDF Pattern
Well, I finally wrote a hat pattern! I just posted it in my etsy store, hoping to get some business! I was really thinking that maybe my store would take off, but not yet.
Someone told me that patterns are going better than the actual merchandise, what do you think? I'm thinking about putting up my helmet hat pattern as well. So let me know what you think about patterns, price, and all that good stuff!

I'm getting there!
I spent most of the weekend winding yarn, but I'm almost done! The above picture was all I had left, yes I just said "was"! Then I went to wal-mart. I have been eyeing all the vanna's choice and caron eco that they have on clearance, and finally couldn't take it anymore! I did behave myself thou with just getting 2 vanna's! Here is a picture of my new stash,
Notice all the pretty spring colors in there! I'm not sure what I am going to make yet, but I will be making something spring like! I really like the caron eco because of 3 reasons:
1. They are made with recycled plastic bottles, so I feel that using this yarn is a great way to live the "green" lifestyle.
2. It is so soft and easy to work with!
3. I love the colors that it comes it!!!
I saw a post on one of my groups from a lady that said that she couldn't believe anyone would waste their crochet talent on yarn made from recycled bottles. I guess I just explained why up above. Why not go green when it comes to yarn!

Yarn Stash
I told you I had a mess when it comes to my yarn stash! I wish I had just one more day off to work on balling it up, see the new yarn winder on my table? If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. I did see a great post on Laughing Purple Goldfish about her stash, and how she organizes it. I guess this will be my weekend and after work project. I will update pictures as I get it finished. Maybe I will have more room for some of that clearance yarn at Wal-Mart?! Hmmmmm, I might have created a "Yarn Monster" in my inner shopping child!
So, on to some of my new creations. I bought some really cool basketball and soccer ball beads while I was in a great bead store just south of here in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. So yesterday I played with one of the basketball beads.......
I am going to purchase some more sock yarn that we have on sale at work. We have some really nice colors of sock yarn on sale, and I really want to get some to go with the soccer ball beads. I also made a really cool cross choker, you can find that to the right in my etsy store.

So many projects, so little time!
Well, I have been collecting crochet patterns, craft patterns, and card ideas off the internet lately. I also have bought some new crochet pattern books that I want to make things out of.
I am on my last day of my 6 days off in a row, and I haven't gotten as much done as I wanted to do in the craft department. I've been dealing with a sick kid, and of course the internet has detoured my attention from my every growing crochet project list. I did get this fun felt weave heart basket from work done, you can find the pattern at achildsdream
They were so fun to make, and very quick. I am going to use them for my hubby and son's itunes cards for valentines day.
O.K. On A "YARN STASH" note, I really need a better system to store my stash. I'm tempted to use my new yarn winder and just wind up all the skeins so that they will store better. I need to split them up anyway so that I can make some new hats and such that take two strands held together. I was just at our walmart today, and they had my favorite yarns on sale, vanna's choice and canon eco. They want to get rid of it because of a store remodel, but I did refrain from getting more yarn to add to my stash, which was very hard for me!
Well, I guess I will go and crochet, just hope that it doesn't take me forever to find something on my mile long list to work on!
