Scooter's Dog Cookies
This is an awesome dog cookie recipe that I got out of a back issue of Mary Jane's Farm magazine. It makes a lot of cookies, and they take the dogs a while to eat, so they last a long time.
Scooter's Dog Cookies
3 1/2 c whole wheat flour
3 c Rolled Oats
1/2 c water
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c broth, any variety
1. Preheat oven to 325.
2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl
3. Drop by TBSP onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookie with the back of a spoon dipped in water.
4. Bake for 50 minutes.
5. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
Makes 5 dozen cookies (I was able to get almost 7 dozen out of this recipe!)

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the recipe. I'll have to try it for our bassett hound
ReplyDeleteThanks Sunnie! I wanted something different.
ReplyDeleteYour Bassett will love them! I like making my own biscuits because I know exactly what's in them! Our dogs have gotten sick on store bought bones too many times. My next thing to pursue is dog food!
I think my dog will love these! I'll have to give 'em a shot soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe. I've been searching for a recipe for dog cookies that I used to have, but I haven't been able to find it. I'll give these a try.
